I have been a workshop facilitator for over 20 years. Mentoring the Leeds Young Authors in 2023, a poetry writing group based in Leeds who wrote performance poetry and accompanied teams to the USA to compete in the Brave New Voices poetry slams held in different states each year.

I’m passionate person who has devoted my time and energy to inspiring and empowering people from all walks of life. It seems I have the ability to motivate and encourage individuals.

D3 Creations is located in Leeds and mainly operate in the Yorkshire region. We provide educational and creative writing workshops for schools, community and corporate groups. We offer a variety of workshops that encourage confidence in self-expression on topics ranging from current affairs to well-being. We can create bespoke workshops tailored to requirements.

Here at D3 Creations, we are dedicated to delivering lessons and workshops to young people, adults, and has experience in working with offenders, those with special needs, and mental health patients. Denetta atteneded the Ushingi community music group at Opera North as a guest facilitator in January 2024. The workshop she ran was excellent and incredbily well recieived by the group. We have been thrilled to have Denetta join our teaching team for Get Your Act Together - our music courses for young people aged 11 - 18. In just a few months of working together, she has already brought so much to Cloth Cat and to the students on our rap workshops. Denetta's teaching style is engaging and effective. She has helped students turn issues that they are struggling with into something that they can use in an expressive and positive way - which is invaluable on both a creative and personal level. In June 2017, I attended Denetta’s workshops on how to write your own rap song that was delivered as part of a literature festival, a funded community project at New Wortley community centre. I had been a previous workshop on writing rap and I found Denetta’s methods for teaching were far more engaging. She has a unique way of encouraging people’s personal stories from them and building their confidence. I have dyslexia and other in the mixed group were vulnerable and had learning needs. Denetta responded with empathy and shared her own personal experiences, making us comfortable to share ours. Not only did I write a rap song, we all got up and performed it in a showcase night! Being able to empower anyone to perform their own work is a very special thing.
